As part of BWA efforts to spread concepts related to marriage relationship which is based on values of love and compassion, BWA conducted two consecutive workshops for different groups of young people of both sexes about the values and principles of marital relations entitled “Dar el Salaam .. and the new reality of marital relations”, the workshops were held at BWA premises at Adliya, on May 10th and June 7th.
The purpose of the workshops was to review the concept of marriage and principles of building successful marriage to promote the values of peace in the family, to discuss the impact of wrong beliefs and misconceptions in marriage and how to address them and correct them, and finally the advancement of marital relations from the current reality to a better reality.
The workshop addressed a lot of misconceptions about marriage relationship and their role in the increase of divorce cases, it was noted that between 30-40% of marriages end by divorce or separation or suspension, which worth shedding light on this phenomenon and its causes and its consequences on the family and society.
Participants expressed that they benefited of the new concepts addressed in the workshop and that they are completely different from what they see in reality of marital relations in the community. They emphasized that these concepts will bring a radical change in the reality of marriages for the better, and expressed their desire to attend similar workshops conducted by BWA.
