Be-Free Participates with a Paper in the 9th Forum of Kuwait University

Be-Free Program participated with a paper about “The experience of Be-Free in the protection of children and teens from the dangers of internet and new technologies” in the 9th Forum titled “Child Protection Issues and Policies” conducted by the College of Social Science in Kuwait University.

The paper presented the Project “Smart+” and the study that was conducted about the usage of internet by children and teens in Bahrain, and the steps taken until now. Moreover Be-Free presented the deliverables of the project which included a booklet for children and  teens about the skills of using the internet, a training guide for trainers and teachers on how to covey the essential skills for using the internet for children in grades (4-6), a short movie about how children and teens use the internet and what parents know about this usage, a conference around “Effective Strategies for the prevention of child online Pornography, Trafficking and Abuse”, and a charter about child protection that has been one of the main outcomes of the conference, in addition to the workshops for children, teens, and caregivers that are conducted regularly.
