The “Unbounded Women” program in Bahrain Women Association for Human Development (BWA) continues to provide workshops as part of project to empower mothers and caregivers. The workshop was conducted on Saturday, 20th October in BWA premise targeting a new group of the caregivers.
BWA project aims to conduct a series of workshop to empower mothers and caregivers’ to understand the concepts and issues related to the “social role” and “socialization”, and to build leadership capacity that contributes in improving its community role.
This workshop aimed to clarify the effect of education on the social role culture and its role in promoting the citizenship rights. In addition, it identifies both; the concept of social role and investigate its cultural and social influences, and the gender-based social roles.
It is worth mentioning that BWA had conducted similar workshop last June with different group of caregivers. The participants found the workshop beneficial and stressed the need to have more leadership and gender training.
