Upon the invitation of the Global Social Media Club, Bahrain Women Association for Human Development (BWA) participated in the workshop “Your Strategy in Social Media for the year 2014” which was held in Al Ayam Media centre on 28th of December 2013.
Over 170 individuals participated in the workshop, most of them being national as well as civil societies and university students. The trainer, Ali Sabkar; Chief of GSM Club, focused on introducing the participants to the important aspects of social media, providing them with the latest methods and tools for effectively appearing on social media networks. He also illustrated how to highlight activities and attract volunteers, donors and supporters and how to develop an effective strategy in social media.
Through his engagement in the workshop, Mr Sabkar implied the goals of publishing through social media applications, building content, measuring the results of interaction, what, where and when to publish as well as being familiar with each network and its tools. In the context of the role social media plays in public opinion, the Association’s media division considered shedding light on how to use these tools to achieve its objectives in the widespread of its cultural and humanitarian concepts.
