Mrs. Mahnaz Kadhemi, ECP Member, made two oral interventions during the sessions, one was about the role of Bahrain Women Association for Human Development in attaining the SDG within its strategic plans, and highlighted the importance of having value-oriented goals to enhance its implementation and aligned with the organization’s vision and mission. This aims to reinforce the understanding of the plan and to focus on its execution to assure that the sustainable development goals are merged into the National Strategic Development Plan. It also contributes to identify the implementation obstacles at the national and regional levels; propose solutions by mobilizing the means of implementation and developing initiatives with assessment mechanisms for monitoring, reporting the work progress; and to accelerate the implementation of consistent policies to achieve the sustainable development plan.
The findings and recommendations, conveying key messages from the participants, will be submitted to, and presented at, the High Level Political Forum convened under the auspices of the ECOSOC, ensuring that Arab countries have a voice at global level. The report of the Forum will also be submitted to the ESCWA twenty-ninth Ministerial Session.
