To share the World the celebration of World Water Day, Environmental Citizenship Program of Bahrain Women Association for Human Development held an exciting and live event at the Farmers’ market on 21st March from morning to noon. Visitors of the market, children and adults, shared moments of awareness activities and highlights relating to sustaining water resources, scarcity of water supply for the years to come, as well as tips on best practices to preserving this treasure. Children enjoyed the “You Can” corner in which they were introduced to ways of minimising water consumption in their daily life activities (brushing teeth, for e.g.). The “Did You Know?” corner displayed shocking statistics and information unknown to many, the “Walk with Water Tank“, a story of so many children around the world in developing countries walking long distance to get water, and lastly the most fun corner was the “Water Day Ambassador” Photo Frame.
