Enhancing Child-nature Relationships Environmental Citizenship program participates in Mother & Child Expo

Environmental Citizenship Program in Bahrain Women Association for Human Development participated in Mother & Child Expo in the Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre on Saturday, February 11, 2017, which was attended by a diverse audience of parents and their children.

Mrs Jehad Jaffer, member of the program presented a lecture that shed the light on the beauty of establishing relationships between children and nature, which leads to a sense of harmony with nature and all its components and as an excellent alternative choice for children being meaningfully and positively engaged with nature rather than spending their time playing technology-related games.  Also, it focused on the characteristics of children whom have relationship with nature such as the plants, animals, sea, sun, and air, and how to enhance these ties that have significant positive effects on children.

The participants expressed their admiration for the underlying values and principles of the program, and they contributed with ideas that enriched the topic.

It is worth mentioning that the Mother & Child Expo is held under the patronage of Chairperson of the Children & Mothers Welfare Society and showcase a large number of schools, kindergartens, nurseries, after-school activities and educational services providers.
