“Parent’s Role in Emphasizing Humanity Existence in their disabled children” is one of the training workshops among the series of workshops provided by Be-Free Program for parents of disabled children, which started with the project “I am Smart, Strong, and Safe Despite my Disability” that was launched under the patronage and attendance of UN Special Rapporteur on Disability. The project covers four types of disabilities; speech impairment, motor disability, visual impairment, and mild mental disability.
This workshop aims at emphasizing that Humanity Existence for every person is important and influential, and persons with disability can’t be excluded. All individuals are equal in humane value which is not affected or altered by disability.
The workshop addresses the aspects that establish and develop human value in daily life, and the role of parents in the building of Humane personality of their disabled children and strengthening it.
It also discusses the different means in which parents can motivate their children to develop in areas related to their personality building, academic achievements, and life skills sharpening, through motivating their Humane Personality. As well as the ways that contribute in the development of the Humane role of the disabled individuals in their surroundings and community.
This workshop was conducted in schools that adopt the merging of children with their disabled peers, as well as in institutes and centers for people with disability. This workshop has received interest and continuous demand by parents and educators.
