Performing at the belief level promotes better communication “AL BAYAN” a workshop at Bahrain Women Association (BWA)

“There are small things in our lives that we  practice unconsciously and continuously, but makes big difference” With this phrase, Ms. Mona Al-Alawi, board member in Bahrain women Association for Human Development started the workshop titled “AL BAYAN” meaning “clear expression” held on Thursday, 3rd of March, 2016 to a group of BWA members. The workshop reflects how efficient communication is highly valued by the association that seeks to enhance it member’s skills in spreading the humanitarian concepts through best means in order to achieve the intended goals.

The workshop included several topics; like the concept of effective communication that helps making the message strong and delivering it with spirit. This is based on three elements: What to say? How to say it? Your believe in it?, stressing that the belief and intention behind the message makes big difference in delivering it to motivate the recipient to accept it and work it out, rather than just  liking it or liking the way it was delivered.

Ms. Al-Alawi explained the distracting elements that affect the communication effectiveness, like stress and public speaking anxiety, as well as continuous speaking without pausing, illustrating the power of pause in providing the listener with the opportunity to analysis and test the ideas, thus facilitating the understanding and avoiding overlapping of messages.
