To Capture People’s Voices and Priorities Bahrain Women Association Participates in “Post-2015 Development Agenda”

In response to an invitation of the UN office in Bahrain, two board members Mina Khadimi and Mona Alalawi  in Bahrain Women Association for Human Development  (BWA)  participated in workshop titled “Post-2015 Development Agenda and the Global Survey” on 24th of November 2013.

The workshop stressed on the importance of the global survey to convey people’s voices’ to the global leaders as they begin the process of defining the new development agenda for the world post 2015.

The UN set the global survey to capture people’s priorities that contribute in identifying the priorities for each family according to the general public opinion, by selecting 6 of 16 possible issues they think would make the desired improvement.  

BWA encouraged its members to participate in the survey, and took the initiative to help all segments of society to have their voice heard by publishing about the survey in its electronic newsletter, website, and account on social networks.
