As part of BWA activities related to Ethical Leadership project, BWA organized training workshops entitled “Ethical Leadership, From the Capacity to Influence to Influence with Honor“ on Thursday, December 9th for employees of Capital Municipality and Gulf City Cleaning company. The training workshop was held on Thursday, December 9, 2017. The workshops aimed to introduce the concept of ethical leadership, identify the role of ethical leader and its impact in creating an ethical environment, reviewing real-life cases and experiences related to ethical leadership, and discussing how to practice ethical leadership in real life.
The participants praised the content and material presented; they reinforced the importance of the concept of ethical leadership and the desperate need for it in the midst of the challenges facing our world today. They emphasized the significance of considering ethics in all of the decisions taken by an ethical leader, especially the individuals having managerial roles in different positions, or individuals who want to achieve positive influence in their environments.
It worth noting, the Ethical Leadership project aims at building and developing leadership capabilities, enhancing the components of participatory leadership. The later is based on the concept of the capacity to “influence” to a leadership governed by ethics, and bounded by values, built by strong and effective principles, and adopting the principle of “influence with honor”. The concept of ethical leadership adds a new dimension to the world of leadership, it is the culmination of the participatory leadership program that BWA has been committed to for more than 10 years.
