Training workshops for Various Groups Ethical leadership, from “ability to influence” to “influence with honor”

As part of BWA activities and programs related to Ethical Leadership, BWA organized training workshops for various groups on the concept of Ethical Leadership, entitled “Ethical Leadership, From the Ability to Influence to Influence with Honor“. The workshops were held on Saturday 13th May 2017 for members of General Federation of Bahrain Trade Unions, and on Monday 15th May 2017 for Bahrain-based Gulf Aluminum Rolling Mill (GARMCO) at the company’s premises. The workshops aimed to introduce the concept of ethical leadership, identify the role of ethical leader and its impact in creating an ethical environment, reviewing real life cases and experiences related to ethical leadership,  and discussing how to practice ethical leadership in real life.

The participants in the workshops praised the content and material presented , they stressed the importance of the concept of ethical leadership and the need for it in the midst of the challenges facing our world today, emphasizing  the significance of ethics in all decisions taken by the ethical leader, especially the individuals having leadership roles in different positions, or individuals who want to achieve positive influence in their environments.

It worth noting, that the Ethical Leadership project was launched in June 2016, which came after training more than 500 local and other trainees on leadership concepts. The project aims at building and developing leadership capacities, enhancing the components of participatory leadership which is based on the concept of the ability to “influence” to a leadership governed by ethics and bounded by values, and built on the basis of strong and effective principles and adopting the principle of “influence with honor”. The concept of ethical leadership adds a new dimension to the world of leadership, It is the culmination of the participatory leadership program that BWA has been working on for more than 10 years.
